Cyndi's Journal

I feel pretty good tonight. I am excited about the surprise party my older daughters are throwing for my younger daughters tomorrow.

They have planned and planned. They've invited the guests, and received acceptance calls. Not only are my 8 and 6 yodds to be surprised with a party (in honor of the 8yodd turning 9) including two overnight guests, but there will be personal attendants: both the older daughters, and two of their friends, one for each of the participants in the celebration.

All this was planned by my 12 and 14 yodds. I am so proud of them! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I can't help but feel I have inadvertantly inspired this gift of a party. After all, the two older girls have spent nearly $35.00 of hard-earned dollars on supplies--especially party favors. I am providing food: mini pizzas, and monkey bread for breakfast. Also, I have bought the supplies for a cake they will bake tomorrow. They are so excited! They have never done anything like this before! They have planned make-overs, the fixing of the pizzas, the games, the prizes, the party favors, the movie, the decorations, the whole nine yards! They are experiencing the wonder of giving. It's fun to watch them, and hard not to get too involved. Still, this needs to be their gift.

It's so fun to watch!
